My name is Derek, I'm a graduate engineer at Nessco and our charity of choice this year is the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund. So, to raise a bit of money, I'm going to do a bit of cycling -
15 days, 1009 miles, £15,000 - 10-24 June 2008
Follow my progress here, on flickr, join my facebook group and DONATE NOW!
Anyone interested in corporate sponsorship - call me 01224 428419 and we'll sort out what we can do - there will be plenty of publicity to get the story out:
Follow my progress on Original 106, Northsound One, and the Aberdeen papers
Right that's the blurb out of the way - get donating NOW and soon it'll be time to get cycling!

Hi. My daughter died last year aged 12 but she was looking forward to her 13th birthday party the next day. She was hypo during the night and I found her dead in bed.
My friend is holding a charity night to raise funds for your On The Bike campaign.

Well done. My daughter would be proud.
Barbara,
Thanks very much for your comments, I've only just found them on here, having got back to reality after the cycle.
Please email me derek.elliott-jones@nesscogroup.com as your profile is hidden I can't get back to you any other way than this!
I'd love to find out more about the charity event your friend is holding - I'm very honoured people would go to this much trouble, and obviously every penny of donation is very gratefully received.
Thanks again,
Derek
